Ivan Gubenko is an Ukrainian artist, who lives in Kiev and create art works in classic formats, but with the contemporary topics such as Don Quixote – Transformer or Penelope Cruz. Most of the authors’ oil paintings depict a very sad mood. The preference color scheme (grey, black, pale orange, pale yellow) introduces heavy atmosphere. You can see that color is the leading aspect in these pieces. It’s like even the most happy moments in life can be refused, refuse to be optimism. However, through his art works, the viewers will have a feeling like reading a story, not just a moment, even it’s sad but lively and touching.
